WE'RE NOW OPEN - The Storehouse at The San Francisco Shipyard
Did you just run out of milk or realize you forgot the tomatoes for your dinner recipe? Or, maybe you just need a cup of Joe and a quiet spot to relax? We’ve got you covered.
We’re thrilled to announce the opening of The Storehouse at The San Francisco Shipyard. Curated specifically with our visionaries in mind, The Storehouse is your one-stop-shop for life’s essentials with new products in stock each week. This isn’t like any other grocery store, it’s a place to bounce dinner ideas off of neighbors, make lunch plans with familiar faces and enjoy some of the best craft coffee Bayview has to offer.
Situated at the threshold of The San Francisco Shipyard, The Storehouse is what you might call a specialty general store. It’s more than a convenient spot to pick up essentials. It’s a place for conversations, for ideas and for neighborly ruminations over Bayview-brewed lattes. The Storehouse is a space where food, craft coffee and San Francisco sundries dwell with the people and stories that make them unique.
We sat down with general manager Bobby Pooni, who will soon become a familiar face, to find out what we can expect:
Q: Tell us a little about The Storehouse.
A: The Storehouse is a destination for Shipyard residents to buy essential items, but also a gathering place for neighbors to meet and get to know one another. It’s ideal for picking up grocery items like milk, bread and pasta, trying new local products like candles and seasonal items, indulging in some sweet treats or grabbing a cup of coffee before work. The store is warm and welcoming with reclaimed wood and old-school charm. There’s a market, coffee shop and lounge area.
Q: We hear you’re pretty picky when it comes to the brands you’ll carry. Why is this?
A: Sometimes the stories behind the goods we buy are just as important as the goods themselves. We wonder about where our coffee beans were grown. We talk about who we ran into while picking up fresh milk, organic apples and a sneaky candy bar. The Storehouse will support local vendors from right here in Bayview.
Q: What are some of your favorite brands that we’ll see?
A: We’ll be exclusively brewing Jeremiah’s Pick Coffee, a nearby coffee roaster, our produce will come from Earl’s Organic Produce and we’ll have raw honey from Goldrush Bay Area Honey, just to name a few. And, you better believe we’ll be serving Humphry Slocombe ice cream!”
We can’t wait to meet you at The Storehouse (451 Galvez Avenue). Hours: 6am – 10am and 3pm – 8pm Monday through Friday and 8am – 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. For more information and to sign up for regular updates, visit http://www.thestorehousesf.com/.
